社群網站龍頭Facebook在26日晚間傳出大當機，而被臉書收購的Instagram也同樣傳出災情，但不只台灣，全球各地也出現相同的問題。
綜合外媒報導，網站監測網「DownDetector」的資料指出，Facebook在英國時間26日下午2時15分左右（台灣時間晚間9時15分）發生大當機，部分用戶無法登錄或無法使用上傳圖片等功能，部分用戶直接出現白畫面，手機版用戶則接獲「Facebook正在維護中，預計幾小時內可完成」的訊息。
Facebook和Instagram突然癱瘓，讓全球各地的使用者相當錯愕，部分使用者選擇到Twitter反映、討論相關災情，而Facebook執行長祖克柏（Mark Zuckerberg ）也立即在推特上發文，表示臉書的確當機了，工程部門正在修復中。
約在英國時間下午3時許，Facebook和IG已陸續修復。
